The double bass quartette\u00a0BassBand<\/strong>\u00a0is one of the configuration, which uprised very unwillingly by the activities of the civil union\u00a0Slovak Double Bass Club.<\/em><\/p>\n

Its ambition it to show to the listeners the possibilities, how to use the double bass not only as an orchestral music instrument, but as a\u00a0sole music instrument too.<\/p>\n

The double bass quartette supplies a\u00a0scarce experience in the connection with the sound of the deepest clanging stringed instrument for the listeners in a\u00a0scarce arrangements of a classic music,\u00a0 a jazz,\u00a0 a swing to a\u00a0popular music. The ensemble is specializing in a\u00a0introducing of a\u00a0primal and orginal music songs, which were created for this scarce confirguration, from the authors\u00a0 of world and domestic music scene\u00a0(S. Pal\u00fach, M. Comendant, M. Lejava, L. Chu\u0165kov\u00e1, P. Bodn\u00e1r, J. Gr\u00e9ner, H. Nuegebauer, R. Catal\u00e1, V. Ja\u0161, J. Borza)<\/em>, by the introducing of arrangements and transcripts of a\u00a0stringed quartettes\u00a0(W. A. Mozart Divertimento D- major, L. van Beethoven – piano sonata Nr. 9. op. 14, G. Ph. Telemann – Concerto in D major)<\/em>, the wind instruments configurations and many others.<\/p>\n

The BassBand has a lot of a\u00a0successful project and productions of the original and new song for this scarce configuration times over.<\/p>\n

They produce more interesting projects, with prominent Slovak artist:\u00a0Martin Babjak<\/em>, solois of Slovak National Teater,\u00a0M\u00e1ria \u010c\u00edrov\u00e1<\/em>\u00a0– slovak young popular singer. Or prominent dance and “rap” group\u00a0“Regiment”<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In the year 2016 under the director of\u00a0Marek mokos<\/em>, BassBand produce new drama for double bass quartet, actor and singer\u00a0“Dis -moi tes amours\u201c or<\/em>\u00a0“honour to the women”, with swiss mezzo-soprano\u00a0Stephanie Szanto<\/em>\u00a0and slovak young actor\u00a0David Hartl\u00a0<\/em>(theater “Nov\u00e1 Sc\u00e9na”) Music composition by: R. Wagner, H. Berlioz, K. Weill, E. Satie, G. Massenet, in arrangements for double bass quartet (Pavol Bodn\u00e1r – prominent slovak jazz pianist and componist)<\/p>\n

In the year 2015 BassBand produce their firs debut CD BassBand.<\/p>\n

BassBand supplies a\u00a0rank of programms and projects, which are built-up beskope. It is\u00a0 the only one music configuration on the Slovak music scene, which is addicted to\u00a0 a\u00a0promotion of this literature.<\/p>\n
